Clarity Begins with One Step — Finding Your Starting Point
It doesn’t have to be a big clear-out. You don’t need to empty every cupboard, sort every drawer or have a full weekend free. Often, the most powerful shifts begin with something small:
· A single surface
· A drawer that has been bothering you
· A chair that holds a pile of clothes.
Choose one thing. One space. One small moment. And begin…
· Clear it.
· Dust it.
· Fold it.
· Let something go that doesn’t bring you joy.
Then pause, take a deep breath, and notice how it feels.
You are not just tidying—you are telling yourself:
“I deserve calm, I deserve space, I’m allowed to move forward."
This is transitional living. Not rushing. Not forcing. Just gently clearing the path, one step at a time.
Here are a few simple ideas to begin with:
- Clear your bedside table.
- Fold and put away a small pile of washing.
- Light a candle in a calm corner and enjoy it’s flickering light.
- Let go of one thing that does not bring you joy.
There is no right place to start. Only a right time. And perhaps that time is now.
In the next blog, we will talk about how making space in your home begins to create space in your thoughts, your routines, and your relationships too.
